Kelly Mark: Glow House, 2008
Kelly Mark (Toronto, Ontario): Glow House, 2008
Presented for three nights only (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) starting January 16th and visible starting at dusk. Located at 9515 102 Street, the work is viewable from the street.

Glow House consists of a house and up to 50 television sets. The television sets are distributed throughout the house and all are tuned to the same channel (or DVD). The small flicker of light emanating from each TV is then turned into a ‘pulse’ of light throughout the entire house. As the scenes change, from whatever television program is airing at the moment, the house flashes and pulses, as all televisions are in sync with one another. This gives the eerie impressions that the entire house has been gutted to create one vast illuminated space. During commercials it is as if fireworks are going off inside.

Kelly Mark is represented by Lawrence Eng, Vancouver
and Wynick/Tuck Gallery, Toronto.
